  Setting Forth is a collection of original songs written about the east coast of Scotland and in particular the region of Fife. As two born and bred Fifers, with the inherent behavioural traits and associated attitude problems that you would expect, we feel the need to share our perspective on our homeland and celebrate its unique qualities through music.
  
  The eleven songs not only cover geographical territory but also a broad range of subject matters, exploring social themes such as mental health, ecology and zoology. There are also some songs that are just about standing by the sea and staring aimlessly at slowly passing boats. Actually there are several of these.
  
  We’d like to thank our hugely talented friend Erik Knussen for contributing his effort, time and musical brilliance to the album. Erik has played with every half-decent bunch of musicians in Scotland, whether they are national orchestras or folk supergroups based in Bowhill.
  
  The CD and digital releases of the album also include 3 bonus tracks we recorded during the recording sessions for the album.
